Project Definition:
In this project there will be an interactive audio recognizing guitar jamming tool, enabling the player to jam with a band, learning the historical background of the song with provided video and images.
Target Audience:
Target Audience will be people that appreciate music and its background, discerning musicians, guitar players looking to practice, sharpen up his or her techniques, and use it as an entertainment tool.
Background information
It all started when I came up with designing a one of a kind abstract electric guitar, in memory of the Great ’Jimi Alan Hendrix’ with crucial design language that I have learned over the years in Sabanci University. With the guitar in the middle of my installation I wanted to show how the guitar changed everything in our lives including politics, wars, revolutions, revolts, and fashion with provided video and audio documentaries. But after proposing the project to my teacher, I have decided to take a different direction enabling this project to become much more interactive and fun. I thought it would be a great idea to combine audio recognizing technology, guitar jamming software and historical documentary in one package that could create an amazing entertainment tool. By creating this project, I believe that I will encourage the new potential guitar players to step up and play and feel the real thing. Also I will create the most interactive, fun jam tool for music enthusiasts. I always found that jamming with electronic devices caused me a ton’s of headaches especially with the electric guitar. It was always a pain to put your guitar on the side, walk to the machine choose a song of your mood, pick your guitar back up and play for 3 minutes and repeat all the process from starch! By utilizing the audio recognizing technology, the player will enjoy his limited time with his guitar in our busy life standards. My main challenge will be figuring out a way of putting together the audio recognizing technology with a guitar jam tool software and make sure that it works in a harmony. The complete package has to be fun, user friendly, and very easy to operate due to guitar players having the guitar on their laps, This system will not even use a remote control to operate which is the most practical entertainment tool for enthusiast music lovers. By working on this project I will gain a lot of experience, project management discipline and know how for my future projects . Unfortunately, I have found nothing similar to my project, However I have found some of the backing tracks and visuals that will be related to my project

Detailed project description
The project will consist of a screen playing video, backing tracks and a audio recognizing software, enabling the player to play along with his favourite songs
by recognizing the 5 second entry guitar lick interval. After recognizing the lick , the software engine will choose the following backing track and video to be played on the screen.
Scope of the project
For the start there will be only 5 songs to be choosen from. But software will enable the user to upload new songs.
Required know-how and resources
I need to learn the NET 3.0 programming language and write codes for the selected songs.
